On Saturday, 11th July, on a scorchingly hot day when most people would have been sat in a beer garden, several members of Wyre Archeology continued their investigations of the area around Cockerham Hall.
Anomalies in the GPR north of the hall were investigated.

Also, a structure that might be part of the “possible” harbour was revealed.

In the end the heat and horseflies won. The site and the questions it posed, for the moment were left unanswered.
We shall return.
