Presentments : —

1. Henry ffreckleton of the Borough aforesaid Innkeeper, William Green of the same place Woolen Draper, William Pritchard of the same place Apothecary, Mr Hornby, Edward Chippindall of the same place Cotton Manufacturer and Edmund Lodge of the same place Gentleman for not severally opening and Scouring a certain Watercourse at the bottom of their several respective Gardens and if they are severally opened within ffourteen days after Notice We Amerce each of them in the Sum of twenty shillings.

2. Thomas Winckley of the Borough aforesaid Esq., for not opening and Scouring a certain Watercourse at the bottom of his Garden and also for not opening and Scouring a certain Watercourse at the bottom of a ffield adjoining the Road leading to Avenham Walk And if they are not severally opened and Scoured in ffourteen days after Notice We Amerce him in the Sum of twenty shillings respectively.

3. John Joseph Kenion? of the Borough aforesaid Esq., John Taylor of the Borough aforesaid _____, John Hankinson of the Borough aforesaid Gentleman, John Cross of the Borough aforesaid Gentleman, Mr Brooke and William Culliford of the Borough aforesaid Gentleman for not severally opening and Scouring a certain Watercourse at the bottom of their several and respective Gardens and if they are not severally opened in fourteen days after Notice We Amerce each of them in the Sum of twenty shillings.

4. George Bolton of the Borough aforesaid Esq., for not opening and Scouring certain watercourse at the bottom of his Garden and also for not removing some Rubbish in the open street opposite Messers Hoghtons Grocers and if they are not respectively done within fourteen days after Notice We Amerce him in the respective Sums of twenty shillings.

5. John Walmsley of the Borough aforesaid Esq., James Johnson of the same place Labourer, Mrs Butler of the same place and Edward Satterthwite of the Borough aforesaid Clogger for not severally opening and Scouring a certain Watercourse at the bottom of their several and respective Gardens and if they are not severally opened in ffourteen days after Notice We Amerce each of them in the Sum of twenty shillings.

6. John Watson, the Elder of the Borough, Cotton Manufacturer, Thomas Glover of the same place, Gardener, Jonathan Tinsley of the same place, Wheelwright, and William Briggs of the same place, Merchant, for not removing their several and respective carts out of the ffishergate, and if they are not severally removed within fourteen days after notice we amerce each of them in the sum of twenty shillings.

7. Ann Waterworth of the Borough aforesaid Innkeeper for not repairing a Platt leading to the House of Correction and if it is not repaired in ffourteen days after Notice We Amerce her in the Sum of twenty shillings.

8. Thomas Glover for not opening and Scouring a certain Watercourse at the bottom of a ffield in his possession and if it is not opened in fourteen days after Notice We Amerce him in the Sum of twenty shillings.

9. John Simpson of the Borough aforesaid Silk Dyer for not repairing a Platt at the bottom of a ffield in his possession from which he has repaired and also for not opening the Watercourse and if it is not done in ffourteen days after Notice we Amerce him in the Sum of twenty shillings.

10. Mathew Cuerden of the Borough aforesaid, ______ , James Gregson the younger of the same place ____ , and Thomas Livesay of the same place _____ for not removing their several and respective Carts and Dunghills out of the House of Correction Wient and if they are not severally removed within ffourteen days after Notice We Amerce each of them in the Sum of twenty Shillings.

11. George Redford of the Borough aforesaid _____ Joseph Holland of the same place _____ and Thomas Bailey of the same place _____ for not severally repairing their respective Cellar Lids and if they are not severally and respectively done within ffourteen days after Notice We Amerce each of them in the Sum of twenty shillings.

12. James Cheetham of the Borough aforesaid for not removing his Carts from opposite Henry Lashmans? and if there are not removed in ffourteen days after Notice We Amerce him in the Sum of twenty shillings.

13. Mr Richard Atherton of the Borough aforesaid Esq., for not opening and scouring a certain Ditch at the Top of back Wient leading to the Moor and if it is not opened in fourteen days after Notice We Amerce him in the Sum of twenty shillings.

14. James Hargreaves of the Borough aforesaid for not removing some Dung and if it is not removed in fourteen days after Notice We Amerce him in the Sum of twenty shillings.

15. Thomas Mayor of the Borough aforesaid Innkeeper for not removing some Rubbish near the Engine House and if it is not removed in ffourteen days after Notice We Amerce him in the Sum of twenty shillings.

16. John Danson of the Borough aforesaid Shoemaker for a Nuisance at the bottom of the Old Coffee House Yard and if it is not removed in fourteen days after Notice we Amerce him in the Sum of twenty shillings.

17. The Mayor, Bailiffs and Burgesses of the Borough aforesaid for not Paving the Street near the Engine House and if it is not done in ffourteen days after Notice We Amerce them in the Sum of twenty shillings.

18. Thomas Woodcock of the Borough aforesaid Joiner for not scouring some Wood out of ffishergate Lane and if it is not done in fourteen days after Notice We Amerce him in the Sum of twenty shillings.

19. John Thornton of the Borough aforesaid, James Bullen Shoemaker and Henry Bullen of the same place for their neglect and non attendance as Jurors so we do therefore Amerce each of them in the Sum of twenty shillings.

20. Thomas Bullen of the Borough aforesaid Gentleman and Thomas Wilson of the same place Gentleman for not severally removing the Rubbish from the bottom of the Gardens in their possession near the necessary belonging to the free School And unless the same be removed within Six days after Notice We do Amerce each of them in the Sum of twenty shillings.

21. The Bailiffs of the said Borough for not repairing the Road leading from the Church Yard to the ffree School and if the same is not repaired in one Month after Notice We Amerce them in the Sum of ffive pounds. And also for not cleansing the Common necessary belonging to the ffree School And unless the same be cleaned within Six days after Notice We Amerce them in the Sum of Six shillings and eight pence.

22. Richard Gregson of the Borough aforesaid and not removing the Carts and Ashes belonging to him out of ffeeble Street And unless the same be removed within Six days after Notice We Amerce him in the Sum of Six shillings and eight pence.

23. Sarah Barton of the Borough aforesaid Widow, William Bradley of the Borough aforesaid, John Barnes of the same place, James Pye of the same place, Ann Billington of the same place, Edward Cook of the same place, James Barnes of the same place, Thomas Thompson of the same place, John Carter of the same place, Mathew ffencote? of the same place and Thomas Cook of the same place for not severally removing their Ashes out of ffeeble Street And unless the same be removed within Six days after Notice We do severally Amerce them in the Sum of Six shillings and eight pence.
