Presentments : —
1. The Bailiffs of this Borough for not Repairing the Street betwixt Lord Stranges Stables and the Churchgate Bars. Likewise that part of the ffriergate where the bars lately stood to the brown channel.
2. The Sike, the Sough and the pavement near the Schoole house belonging to the Bailiffs. Likewise we present the Road from the Cocker hole to Havenham? belonging to the Bailiffs and if not Repaired in three months we ffine them £5.
3. The Bailiffs for not Repairing the Platt and the Cawsey from Swilbrook brow to the Cocker hole and if not Repaired in three weeks to pay 5s.
4. Robert Abbott for not Repairing the Roads belonging to him near the waterworks and if not Repaired in three weeks to pay a ffine of 10s.
5. Mr Serjeant Aspinall for not ffixing Rales or lids to his Seller at his house in ffriergate and if not Repaired in one week to pay a ffine of 10s.
6. Mr Henry Brewer the Elder, Mr Henry Brewer the younger for not opening a watercourse and lying a platt in that lane leading from the House of Correction to the plantation and which Runs along the side of a Close of Land whereby the lane is not passable for want of the water being Let? of and if not Repaired in three weeks to pay 40s.
- The plantation was near the two Davil meadows - which adjoined Marsh-lane, north side, and it belonged to John Grimshaw.
7. Mr Cross a Steward for Mr James Bolton for not Repairing a Chimney that is likely to ffall in possion of William Morley? and if not Repaired in three weeks to pay a ffine of 40s.
8. The occupiers of the fields adjoining to the Road for not Repairing the Road leading from the Oak tree to the new bridge, being a Dangerous Road, and if not Repaired in one month to pay £20.
- The new bridge was that at the south end of Broadgate — the present Penwortham bridge over the Ribble.
9. The Supervisors of the Highways for not ffilling up the said hole in the ffishergate lane and also the Watering Trough and the Ditch Leading there from and if not Repaired in ten days to pay 10s.
10. The occupiers of the Ground in South Meadow lane for not Repairing the same lane and if not Repaired in three Weeks to pay 10s.
11. The Scavengers of the Church street for not Cleaning the same Street and if not Cleaned in a ??? after notice to pay 10s.
12. Mr William Hardman of Cadeley for not opening and cleansing his Ditches in the two Davil meadows near the plantation belonging to Mr John Grimshaw and if not opened in 5 weeks to pay a ffine of ffifty shillings.
