Presentments : —

1. Mr Geo: Addison for not repairing a bad Causey before his houses near the Brewhouse and order him to pay 15s if the same be not repaired in Thirty days after Notice given.

2. Mr Langton of Kirkham and the said Mr Addison for not laying a bridge over the Common Shore running between their ffields and order them to pay Twelve shillings if the same is not done in Ten days after Notice is given.

3. Widow Barker for not repairing a broken Causey near the Lady Well and order her to pay Ten shillings if the same be not done in Six Weeks after Notice.

4. Wm Young for not scouring a Ditch to draw the water of Lady Well and Order him to pay Ten shillings if the same be not done in Thirty days after notice.

5. Thos Woodruff for a broken Causey at the End of his house and order him to pay 5s. if its not repaired in Ten days after Notice.

6. James Taylor for obstructing the Highway by laying his Dung at the end of the Back lane and Order him to pay 5s. if the same be not removed in Ten days after Notice.

7. The Bailiffes for not repairing the Pinfold there wants an Inner Door, repairs at the Outward Door, some Brick work, some paving, and the Rubbish & Dirt cleaning out Which We order to be done within thirty days after Notice or the said Bailiffes to pay 30s.

8. Thos Becket for not keeping a sufft Stile at the end of the long Croft and order him to pay 10s if the same be not repaired or a better place'd Ten days after Notice.

9. John Dickinson Cooper for not placing a Rail before his Cellar Steps and order him to pay 5s. if the same be not done in Ten days after notice.

10. Edwd Loxham, Mrs Wall, John Walton, John Dickinson and John Harrison Drapers for not having boards to their Cellars and order them to get each one in Ten days after Notice or pay 5s. each.

11. The Bailiffes for not getting Bands to the Lid of the Market place Well and Order them to get the same done in 10 days after notice or pay 5s.

12. Thos Jepson Carrier for frequently laying his Horse Dung in the Street and obstructing the Road and if not removed in five days after notice to pay 5s.

13. Thos Talbot and Mary Johnson for laying their Ashes in the Street and order them to be removed in Six days after notice or pay 2s. each.

14. Henry Brewer junr for dirtying the road into the Whittaker Row by his Midding Stead which Road we hereby order him to get cleaned Six days after notice or pay 5s.

15. Mr John Waring, Mrs Parker, ffrancis Cork, Catherine Wilding, James Etherington, Abra: Lingard, Elizabeth Heaton, Wm Bradley, Joseph Barns, Mrs Haydock, Betty Shepherd, Margaret Kighley and Robt Thompson for not scouring the Ditch running from one End of ffeeble Street into Mr Waring's Orchard and hereby Order 'em to do their respective Shares within 30 days after the first (Mr Waring) shall have Notice or otherwise pay each a fine of 10s.

16. When the above is done We present and Order the Revd Mr Andrews to clean the Soughs running under his houses so as effectually to draw the Water of the Back weend Ten days after notice or otherwise pay 40s.

17. Law: Bostock for not Shovelling his Dung of the Highroad and order him to get the same done in six days after Notice or pay 2s.

18. Henry Brewer Senr for the same offence by his Barn and ffine him 5s if not done in Six days after notice.

19. Robt Calland for laying his Dung in St John's Lane And Order him to remove the same in Ten days after notice or pay 5s.

20. Richd Bramwell and others his Neighbours for ridling Ashes in St John's Lane and order him & them to remove them in Six days or pay 2s.

21. The Bailiffes or the Revd. Mr. Oliver for not repairing the Causey by ye Free School, and order them or him (to whom it of right belongs) to repair the same in 20 days after notice or pay the sum of 10s.

22. The Bailiffes for not repairing the Sough and cleaning the Channel by the ffree School and order them to do them in 20 days after Notice or pay 5s.

23. Roger Fishwick for a bad Causey by his Garden leading to the poor house and order him to repair the same in 40 days after notice or pay 20s.

24. Mr Bold or his Steward for not cleaning the Sough before the Middle Syke and order the same to be done in 20 days after Notice or pay 40s.

25. Henry Brewer Junr & Mrs Charnock or one of them for not laying a ffootbridge over the Moor brook and Order them or one of them to do it in 10 days after notice or pay 20s.

26. Ralph Smith for not repairing the Road from Cuckstool house to the first Moor Slacks, and Order him to do the same within 40 Days after notice or pay 40s.

27. Henry Brewer the elder for not cleaning the streets, and hereby Order him to do them before the Races or pay 40s.

28. Thos Yates of ffishwick or Mr Ashurst for not laying a Bridge over Swillbrook and Order them or one of them to do it in Ten days after notice or pay 20s. This is since done.

29. Mr Wm Green for not having Rails to his Cellar and Order him to get placed Ten days after notice or pay 10s.
