1. The Bailiffes of this Borough for not repairing the Causeways in the Public Streets of this Town called ffryergate, Backweend, St John's Lane and from the Churchgate Barrs as far as the Cocker Hole but suffering the pavements to run into great Decay and very dangerous to his Majesties Liege Subjects passing and repassing the same on Horseback And if they do not put the said Pavements into good & sufficient repair on of before the 25th March next on having sufficient Notice of this presentment We Amerce them in 39s. 11d.
2. The same for not repairing the Syke near the Schoole House And if not repaired in Twenty one Days after notice We Amerce them in 6s. 8d.
3. Henry Barnes for not cutting his Hedge at the ffryergate Town End but suffering the same to hang over the King's Highway there to the great prejudice thereof; And if he do not cut the same and remove the sd Nusance in ffourteen days after Notice We Amerce him in Six shillings & Eight pence.
4. Mr Alderman Pedder for not Lopping & Topping the Poplar Trees at the Head of his Field near the Pinfold and for not drawing a Ditch there by reason whereof the King's Highway there is much damaged and prejudiced and the same in the Winter Season in particular is generally deep and ffounderous; And if he do not Lopp the said Trees and Draw the sd Ditch and thereby remove the said Nusance in Six Weeks after Notice We amerce him in 20s.
5. Thomas Alldred for laying a Heap of Rubbish in the ffryergate near Richard Simpsons to the great Annoyance of the Street & Highway there and a Common Nusance; And if he do not remove the same on Notice of this presentment We Amerce him in five shillings.
6. John Holgate for laying a Dunghill at the Higher End of St John's Lane to the great Annoyance of the Street & Highway there; And if not removed on Notice of this presentment We amerce him in 5s.
7. Alice Singleton, _____ Biggs & Richard Eastham for severally laying Ashes & Dunghills in Churchgate to the great Annoyance of the Streets & Highway there And if not take away on Notice of this presentment We Amerce each Defaulter in 5s.
8. Nicholas Winckley Esq., for not repairing the Garden Wall adjoining to the Minspit Weend wch is in great danger of falling; And if not done on or before 25 March next We amerce him in 39s. 11d.
