Jonathan Anderton of Preston afd for feeding his Swine in the Streets of this Town and Suffering them to go and Wander therein Which is a Common Nusance, And if he feed them or Suffer them to go there for the future We amerce him in 20s.
William Walmsley for neglecting to cut & lop his hedge on the side of the lane Leading to the house of Correction Which hangs over & annoys the highway there And if he do not lop the same in ten days after Notice We amerce him in 20s.
Benjamin Whitehead Gentleman for laying and Continuing several large pieces of Wood in the highway on Spittle Moss wherewith the sd Way is much annoyed & incumbered & if he do not take away the same in a Week after notice of this presentment We amerce him in 20s.
John Law for laying Wood in the Streets in this Town thereby annoying & obstructing the highway there & if he do not remove the same in three days after notice hereof We amerce him in 10s.
Ellen Johnson Widow, Thomas Gradwell, Peter Melling, Thomas Dicconson, _____ Bailey Widow and Thos Whittle for suffering their swine to go & remain in the Streets of this Town Which is a Common Nusance & great Annoyance to their Neighbours & others & if they suffer them to go or be there for ye future We amerce them in 6s. 8d. Each.
The Bayliffs of this Burrough for neglecting to repair the pumps in the Streets in this Town Which are much out of Order & almost useless and if they do not repair and put the same in good Condition in a Week after notice hereof We Amerce them in £5.
John Hopkinson, Edwd Hollinhurst, Wm Walmsley, Robert Grundy & James Bostock who were sworn upon this Inquest for neglecting to Attend their ffellow Jurors and pform their Servise enjoined by their Oaths & Amerce them in Severally.
