The Bayliffs of the said Burrough of Preston for neglecting their Duty in their Office in not well and Sufficiently cawling & scouring the Marsh belonging to the said Town of Preston which for want of such cawling and scouring is Daily wasted & carryed away by the waters and if the same be not well and Sufficiently Done in three Months after Notice of this Presentment We amerce them in one hundred and fifty pounds.
Joseph Bray for not opening his Ditch from the Pinfold into his Garden But Suffering the same to be Stopped up whereby the Highway there is much annoyed and Damaged and if not done in a month after notice We amerce him in Thirty Shillings.
David Brown for not repairing the Platts in the Common Footway leading from the Chapel Yard, thro' his Fields to the House of Correcion and also for not repairing the Platt in the Common foot way leading from the house of Correction thro' his Field to the Fishergate Lane Which are so much out of Repair That his Majestys Leige People cannot safely and conveniently pass that way and if not done in a Month after notice We amerce him in five pounds.
The Supervisors of the Highways for not repairing the Stone Platt at the Bottom of Fryergate and also for not repairing and amending the Highway in the Lane leading from the Bottom of Fryergate to the Moor which are in Great decay for want of repair and amednment and if not done in two Months after Notice we amerce them in ten pounds.
The Bayliffs of the said Burrough of Preston for not Repairing the Pumps in the Fryergate and in the Backweend in this Town which by reason of their Office of Bayliffs they ought to repair and keep in Order and if not well & Sufficiently repaired in ten days we amerce them in five pounds.
