John Colly, Abraham Lingard, Thomas Morris, Seth Haydock, John Bolton, Anne Seed Widow, James Etherington and William Beesley for neglecting to Open and Scour the Ditch Adjoining on one side of their respective houses and gardens and on the other side to the higher end of the sd Collys garden near the Street or Lane leading to Mr Joseph Chorleys house near the tyth Barn Whereby the Watercourse that anciently and customarily did and ought to run through the said Ditch is Stopp'd and Obstructed and the Water thereby Stagnates and Annoys and Obstructs the Way leading to the Tyth Barn Which is a Comon Nusance and if not done in a Month after Notice We Amerce them in ten shillings a piece.

Lang shows "Collys Garden" in the area now occupied by the Market.
Robert Lytham of Preston for not opening and Scowering a ditch Adjoining to a Close of ground in his possion on the East Side of Salter Lane within the said Burrough Whereby the said Lane and the Way there is very much annoyed, prejudiced & obstructed and if not done in Six Weeks after Notice We Amerce him forty shillings.

The Surveyors of the highways in Preston for neglect of duty in not repairing the Cawsey in Tyth Barn Street Opposite to a Barn in possion of Robert Ingham Which said Cawsey is broken and out of repair and if not done in two Months We Amerce them in twenty shillings.

The present Bayliffes of this Corporation to put the pumps into repair in Fishergate Street and Saint John's Weend and if not done in two Months We Amerce them in ten pounds.

The several Owners and proprietors of the Waterworks in Preston for not repairing the Cawseys in several parts of the Town which are broken and out of repair and Order Occasioned bt the bursting of the Waterpipes to the great Annoyance of the Streets and highways there and to the great damage of all his Majesties Liege people passing and repassing through the said Streets and highway and if not well and sufficiently made good and repaired in a Month after Notice We Amerce them in ten pounds.

Joseph Platt for annoying, Straitning and Obstructing the way in Salter Lane by laying Dirt and Rubbish there to the great Annoyance & damage of all his Majesties Liege people passing and repassing through the same and Amerce him in twenty shillings.

William Tipping and Mr Jonathan Eccleston for laying Rubbish in the back Lane within this Burrough to the great Annoyance thereof Whereby the highway there is much damaged and prejudiced and if not removed and the said Way made as good as before in three Months time We Amerce them in fifty shillings Each.

The several persons hereafter named who being Resiants and Inhabitants within this Burrough & Owe their Suit and Service to this Court Leet but neglected to attend to perform the same or to appear at this Court tho' they severally had due Notice and Sumons to Attend and no Excuse made for their absence nor Essioned by the Court And amerce them in twelve pence Eash for their said neglect.
