Presentments : —

1. Timothy Etough for not drawing his ditch and laying a platt at the South end of Eagergate Lane and likewise John Melling for not drawing his ditch in the Same place and also Thomas Aspinwall for not drawing his ditch and likewise Samuel Cook for not drawing his ditch & laying a platt in the Same Lane We do amerce them in Six shillings & Eight pence a peice if not done before the first of August next.

2. John Clayton husbnd for not seting a stile over agt the Marsh Lane well, comonly called Bugmire holes; thirteen shillings and four pence if not done before the first of August next.

3. The psons following. vizt.

William Rawstrone Esq., Mr Thomas Garlick, Mr Thomas Seed and Peter Taylor for laying their Middings in St Johns Street to the prjudice of the sd Street and annoyance of their neighbours if not removed on or before the first of Augt next We do amerce them in twenty shillings a peice.

4. The Bayliffes for not removing the Rubbish lying in St. John Weend, near the pump to the prjudice of the sd Street and do amerce them in six shillings eight pence if not removed before the first of August next.

5. John ffell and Anne Greenough Widow for harbouring and entertaining lewd & idle people, vagrants, vagabonds and keeping disorderly houses and do amerce them in twenty shillings a peice.

6. The Bayliffes for not repairing the Well in the Church Gate over agt Singletons Smithy formerly Bullens Smithy and the Railes going to Cockerhole and likewise the pump near the Brown Channell in the ffyargate; if not done before the first of Augt next We do amerce them in forty shillings.

7. The psons following for not Scouring their ditches in Ribleton Lane being a prjudice & damage to the Kings highway. vizt.

Richard Moss, Widow Audland, Thomas Garlick, John Melling, James Green, William Hodgson, Mr Alderman Curtis and Mr Thomas Whalley & do amerce them in twenty shillings Each if not done before the first of August next.

8. The psons following for not Scouring their Ditches on the other side of Ribleton Lane, the Water not going off but lying to the damage of the High way. vizt.

Lawrence Pemberton, Edwd Letherbarrow and Thomas Kilshaw and do amerce them in twenty shillings each if not done before the first of August next.

9. The Supvisors of the High Ways for not repairing the Bridge at Broadgate Lane end and likewise for not repairing a platt lying upon ye Preston Moore near Widow Leaches betwixt the Cawsey & her house and do amerce them in fifty shillings if not done before the first of Augt next.

10. Peter Taylor for not Scouring his ditch joyning to the Bridge at Broadgate Lane end and do amerce him in twenty shillings if not done before the first of August next.

11. Richard Green for not laying a board on the Top of his Cellar Staires being dangerous to people passing in the night time; if not done before the first of Augt next We do amerce him in twenty shillings.

12. John Threlfall for steeping Willows and leting his Ducks swim in the well over agt Singletons Smithy and do amerce him in twenty shillings.

13. The following psons for Inmates or psons likely to become chargeable to the Town. vizt.
