Hewitson has this "Great Court Leet held on October 22nd, 1701, before Josias Gregson (Mayor) and John Warren (Recorder)." but the mayor is George Addison.  Needs checking.

6. The psons following that they doe severally remove their respective Middings lying in St. Johns Weend or Lane before the first day of Aprill next On paine that every one makeing default doe pay ye summe of Six shillings eight pence. vizt.

8. Yt widdow Crabtree open the watercourse att the old Cuckstool pitt leading to the Swillbrook before the Twenty fifth of March next, on paine of Six shillings and eight pence.

9. William Walmsley of the Hole house doe sufficiently amend the ffoot____ att his orchard end leading to the March by layeing stone of gravell or the same before the twenty fifth of March next On paine of Six shillings eight pence.

10. Robert Sarjeant ye Linnen webster for suffering playeing att Cards in his house on the Sabbath day, to pay two shillings six pence.

11. The psons following that they cause sufficient Rales placed before their respective Seller staires before the twenty fifth day of March next, on paine that every one makeing default doe pay One shilling. vizt.

14. The psons following for causeing or pmitting their respective servants frequently to wind, draw up, and carry away water to their severall houses, from the Publicke Draw well in the Market-place, on the Sabboth day, and doe amerce each of them in two shillings a peece. vizt.

17. The Bayliffs That they cause the Bridge att Broadgate to bee sufficiently Repaired before the twenty fifth day of March next Otherwise wee Amerce them in Six shillings eight pence.

18. Mr Roger Sudell the elder that hee cause his Midding Removed (wch lyes on the West side of Minspitt Weend and is a great annoyance to Thomas Gregson) And if not done before the twenty fifth day of March next doe Amerce him in the summ of Twenty shillings.

19. The severall psons following that they respectively scour their ditches and lopp their hedges and make good their severall platts in the South meadow lane before the twenty fifth day of March next, On paine that every one makeing default doe pay the summe of Six shillings eight pence.

21. James Kitchin, watchmaker, for cutting and selling Linnen cloth not belonging to his Trade, And doe amerce him in vjs. viijd.

22. Simon Penington, Edmund Bostock, and Richard Burton, Barbers, for carrying their Basons and Aprons publickly in the streets on the Sabboth day, and useing their Trade on that day. And Amerce them in five shillings a peece.

23. The psons following as Inmates, haveing no legall Settlemt in this Burrough, therfore to bee stallenged or Removed out of the Town according as shall bee thought fitt by Mr Mayor and his Councell. vizt.

24. There is now no Rale att late Thomas Walmsleys house in the fFryergate, Nor any Bulke att Mr. Parkinsons house, next John Harrisons, in the ffryergate, Nor any sign post att John Birchalls house, late Tysons, in the fFryergate, Nor any Rales att George Drinckwaters house, in the ffryergate, Nor any sign post att the house late the sign of the Plow, in the Churchgate.

Therefore wee Conceive that what is severally charged for the said things ought no longer to bee brought into the Bayliffe Accounts, or continued in the Towns Rentall.

25. The outstaires at Mr. Alderman Addisons house, in Minspitt Weend were never charged or brought into the Towns Rentall till the last survey, taken in the yeare 1695, And, it appeareing by an Antient Presentmt that those staires are standing on Mr. Addisons own ground, Wee therefore thinck that the Two pence charged yearly for them ought to bee taken out of the Towns Rentall.

26. That the Highway or lane Called Ribleton lane, the lane and flagged Rampier leading towards Rible bridge, The lane leading down to Broadgate, The lane or way over Spitle Mosse to the March, The Moor lane, The long Cawsey upon the Moor. The ffryer lane, St. Johns Weend, and other publicke Highwayes and Cawseys in the said Town of Preston and the Liberties thereof are in decay and much out of Repair. And therefore wee doe Amerce the Inhabitants of Preston aforesaid in the summ of ffifteen pounds & for speedy Repair of the said lanes, Highwayes and Cawseys according to the Statute.

27. John Ratcliffe Skinner doe Musle his great doggs which hee keeps about his house and pitts before the seventeenth of ffebruary next, and soe keep and take care of them for the future that they may doe noe mischief by being at large, On paine of Six shillings eight pence.
