Presentment : —

1. The sevrall psons hereafter named for that they did nor appear at this Court Leet being duly summoned by the Sarjeant and not craved and had leave from Mr Maior or Mr Recorder for their absence. Therefore wee amerce each of them to pay 3s. 4d. a peece. vix.

Richard Livesey, William Cooper, Joseph Curtis, Adam Bushell, Richard Thornton, William Davice, Thomas Cook, Chrofer Blackledge, James Hodgkinson butcher, John Whittaker,Thomas Jackson, William Gradwell, John Cowborne, Henry Grundy, James Grundy, Daniel Porter, John Barker, John Mosse, Thomas Slater, John Slater, John Bayley blacksmith, Chr Walmsley, Seth Jolly, Thomas Sudell sen?, John Bayly Brickman.

2. Richard Ash of Ingoll and John Hodgkinson of the same for removeing their stiles out of the Antient foot way over against Blackborne Barne, And doe amerce them in ten shillings a peece if they cause not the same removed back to the old accustomed places before the first day of March next.

3. The Supravisors of the Highwayes within this Town for their not repaireing Davill Bridge att the end of the Marsh; The Highway betwixt Henry Barnes and John Bayleys house and the Highway at ffryergate moor yate goeing up to the Moor. And amerce them in ffifty shillings if the same bee not severally sufficiently repaired before the 25th of March next.

4. The present Bayliffe of this Town doe cause the gutters and passages for water on the Marsh to bee well and sufficiently scoured and opened before the 25th day of March next. And in default thereof wee Amerce them in 13s. 4d.

5. John Greenhalgh Blacksmith and Henry Wilson Taylor for laying a nauseous Middingsteed in Rideing Hey to the great annoyance of all the Inhabitants thereabouts, And doe amerce them in ten shillings a peece, if they cause not the said middingsteed removed before the 25th day of March next.

6. Henry Leach for not repaireing the wall on his backside, but suffring the excrements falling from his House of office to drench through his said wall into the Backside of Thomas Gradwells house, to the great Annoyance of the said Thomas Gradwell and his ffamily and all other Inhabitants therabouts. And doe amerce the said Henry Leach in 13s. 4d. if hee cause not the same amended before the 24th day of March next.

7. The severall psons next hereunder named who lay their middings, Timber and Rubbidge in Saint Johns lane and other places within this Town to the Comon Annoyance of the Inhabitants thereof, That the said psons remove the same before the first day of May next on paine of everyone makeing default to forfeit 6s. 8d. vizt.

8. The severall psons hereafter named being ffree Burgesses fo this Corporacon and not yet taken the Oath of a Burgess. Therefore wee desire that Mr Maior would please to send for them and tender unto them the said Oath before the first day of May next, upon paine of every one makeing default in not comeing and bee sworne to forfeit 5s a peece. vizt.

9. The severall psons hereafter named, All shopkeepers or following Trades within this Town, have every of them taken one or more Apprentices which have served them above a month, and yet have not entred or Inrolled them according to an order of the last Guild Merchant, Therefore, psueant to that order, wee Amerce them in 20s. a peece, If the said psons doe not procure the said Apprentices entrd and Inrolled before the first day of May next. They haveinge Notice in the meane time given them of this our prsentment.

11. The overseers of the Highway that they cause the way leading up to the Churchgate Moor to bee sufficiently repaired before the 25th day of March next on paine to fforfeit the summe of ffifty shillings.

12. The Occupyers of Tulketh grounds for not scowring their ditches lyeing to the side of the Kings Publick Highway, And alsoe Willm Walmesley of the Hole house for not cleansing his ditch on the opposite side of the said highway And wee Amerce the said psons in 6s. 8d. a peece if the said ditches bee not sufficiently scoured before the 25th day of March next.

13. The psons undernamed for suffering their Ostlers or other servants to water horses att the Mincepitt well in this Town, And doe Amerce them in 3s. 4d. a peece. vizt.
