The names of the Jury _____ aswell in behalf of the Comonwealth as the _______ Bayliffs and Burgesses of the Burrogh aforesaid.

1. The now Bayliffs shall put the Barr upon Spittle Mosse in good repair for use and examd. of Artillary, accordinge to the first prsentmt of the Leet vij of May 1658.

2. The Assize of Breade and Beare of [undecipherable] wee conceive much neglected, and that the Officers sworne to us for that purpose may bee Inquired of and instructed by [undecipherable] Maior. PART OF PAGE MISSING (shown as .........)

3. Mr Seth Mort ha............ Barn in St Johns Weend accordinge to the ............... of the last Leete and that if the said Seth ...............Erct the said Barne before the ............ next or else to pay the sume of xxxxs and ............. that Mr Maior and the Councell will Endeavour .............. same downe, or else the ffyne to bee paid accor...........

4. Willm Curtis one of the Cou(ncell) of this Towne was at this prsent Court Leet .............bee one of the Jury, and being called to take his Oath of Jurie denied presumptously to take his oath, though sevall fynes moved thereunto by Mr Maior. Whereupon Mr Maior the Baliffs and Steward of the Court imposed a ffyne of ffourty shillinge upon him for his contempt. And for that it tends to the evil Example of others, and for the Encouragement of some who may probably offend in the like kind if speedy course bee not taken to prsent the like for the future. Wee Desire that Mr Maior will take speciall care that the ffyne soe imposed may bee Levied to the use of the Towne without any abatemt or diminicon. And that the Maior and the rest of the Councell will at their next Meeinge advise and considr of it whether this Offence beinge done by one of the Councell may not deserve a further punishment.

5. That the ffyne of tenn shillings imposed at the same Court upon James Abbott for denyinge to take the Oath of a Jurie beinge also thereuntil called bee forthwith Levied without abatement. And whereas hee alledged in open Court that hee never had taken the Oath of a Burgess, wee desire that Mr Maior will forthwith call him before him to take the said Oath and if hee shall refuse the same that then hee pay the further fyne of tenn shillings and for futher prceeded agt. as Mr Maior and his Councell or the greater pte of them shall see cause.

6. These psons hereafter named being accordinge to the ??? oath before the Maior in open Court sumoned to make their Appearance in the great Court Leete did contrary to their Oath neglect to appear. And therefore wee doe amerce them and every of them in 2s a piece.

7. That the Stallengers allowd by Mr Maior and Councell may not have Libty to the Moore or Marsh to turne their Catle thereunto, or to keepe comon Alehouses wch wee conceive to bee a great pruidice to the free Burgesses of this Burrogh and disire care may bee taken for the prvencon thereof and that our Liberty and ffreedome may bee maintained.

8. These psons hereafter named for turninge their Goods or Catle to the Moore or Comons belonginge to this Towne: they not beinge ffree Burgesses of the same, ffor wch offence wee doe amerce them and every of them in the sevall sumes of xxs a piece. vizt.

9. The sevall psons hereafter named are fforriners Inmates and unnesseseires Mmebers and unfitt to Inhabitt in this Burrogh to bee removed by Mr Maior and his Officers before the first day of January next or otherwise the Harbourer to pay tenn shillings unles they Give security to Mr Maior: for their removall at the tyme Mr Maior appoints Soe that wee may have noe Stallengers: But if they or any of them shall not remove or possess such Libty from Mr Maior as above. The harbourey shall forfeit and loose for every Month as such are not removed the sume of vjs. viijd. a Month. vitz.

10. Anne the wife of Mathew Dickson who by Informacon of Jennett the wife of John Preesall declareth that the said Anne swore two oathes by God for wch offence wee amerce her to pay vjs. viijd.

11. John Hornby of Greener?, Edward Curdall of ffishwick and John Wall of the Hydehill? in Preston for a tusle wch they did make amongst them in the house of Mr Comball accordinge to the sevall Informacons Given unto us for the wch offence wee amerce them to pay the sevall sume of 2s. vjd. a piece.

12. That the now Bayliffs shall cause ye Well called the Minspitt well and the well called the Goose well and the ffryergate well to bee scowred and kept clean four tymes a year upon paine of every tyme neglectinge vjs. viijd.

13. Mr. Maior shall cause the Inhabitant Burgesses within this Towne being of xxj yeares of age and upwards [who] as yet hath not taken the oath of a Burgessese to bee sumoned to appeare to bee sworne before him according to the custome of this Towne; and as many as shall refuse to take their oath to pay vjs. viijd.

14. That the highway in Ribleton Lane in the Cawsey is out of repaire neare unto the Ladey hey yate and goeinge by Mr Lemons yate and that the Supervisor shall cause the same to bee put in repaire at or before the xx^th day of December next upon paine of vjs. viijd.

15. That the Supervisors of the Last Leete did not sufficiently repaire the highway betwixt Salter house & Swilbrooke wch is annoyance unto people wch cometh to the markett in this Towne, and some hath made complaint that be loaden horses meetinge in that place is many tymes in doinge to bee overthrowne wch cause if it should happen might bee pruidiciall to this Towne, and that the Supvisors cause the same to bee sufficiently done at or before the xxth of December next.

16. PRESENTMENT BLOCKED OUT. Margin comment "Referred to Mr Maior. iijs. iiijd. is paid to ye Churchwarden & for releife of ye poore.

17. John Kellet that hee did fflinge or ??? at Willm Dobson with a ???, and did hitt him on the browe and thereon did draw Blood it beinge done within the ffairs tyme in August last for the wch offence hee is to pay fourty shillinge.

18. We fynd and thinke it fittinge and verry convenient that the now Bailiffs shall cause the quishons for the charge to bee made up the full members of xxiiij and that the Moot hall and Glass windows therein to bee put in good repair with what expedicon may possible the same can bee done for the use and benefitt of the Towne.

Wee desire that Mr Maior wilbee please to put in Execucon all theis prsentmt. wch concernes him and procns the Councell advice in what concernes them wch wee hope wilbee done as soone as Conveniently may bee.
